Press on a clean, smooth surface

Clean and dry the surface first. With the handle open, press the complete rubber rim flat against a smooth, flat and non-porous surface.

Lock the vacuum seal

Fold the handle down and check that the complete rim remains securely in contact before applying any force.

Pull straight and steadily

Pull in a straight line with slow, controlled force. Stop immediately if the cup loses contact.

Remember: press, lock, pull

For the best chance of a stable seal, follow the same three-step routine every time and keep the force controlled.
